How can I help?
Choose a topic. Each answer opens independently.
Is DueWink really free?
Yes. DueWink is completely free. There is no advertising, no in-app purchases and no paid subscription. An App Store link will be added here when the genuine URL is available.
Do I need an account?
No separate DueWink account is required. Optional sync requires an Apple Account with iCloud enabled on your devices.
My iCloud data is not syncing. What should I do?
Check that both devices use the same Apple Account, that iCloud and iCloud Drive are available, and that you have enough iCloud storage. Enable sync in DueWink, check the displayed status and open the app with an internet connection while the device is unlocked. iOS controls background activity, so updates can take time. If iCloud is shown as unavailable, send support your app version and the exact message. Availability also depends on the iCloud configuration of the released build. Avoid signing out of iCloud or deleting app data as a first troubleshooting step.
Does DueWink contact Apple before I enable contract sync?
In a CloudKit-enabled build, DueWink may check Apple’s iCloud availability and a technical account identifier before contract sync is enabled. A hash of the identifier helps detect account changes; hashing does not automatically make it anonymous. Sending contract contents and attachments is gated on enabled sync in the reviewed flow. Operating system services and separately enabled Apple device backups are distinct from this.
What happens if I switch iCloud off?
Local data is kept. Disabling sync does not delete data already stored in iCloud. Changing Apple Accounts pauses sync so local data is not automatically transferred to another account.
Why am I not getting reminders?
Check the reminder time and advance notice in the contract, as well as DueWink notification permission in iOS Settings. Focus modes and notification summaries may delay alerts. Open DueWink again to refresh scheduling. Up to 60 upcoming reminders are scheduled at once per device. Reminders are an aid; check important deadlines yourself as well.
A document will not open.
Check the original and file format (PDF or image). Protected PDFs may require a password. For camera or library photos, check the relevant permissions if needed. Attach the document again if it is unreadable, and keep your original. Please do not send support complete contracts containing personal data.
How do I delete my data?
Delete individual contracts in their details, or all contracts in your profile. With sync enabled, deletions propagate at the next successful sync. DueWink creates encrypted safety copies before certain operations, including deleting all contracts; remove these separately in your profile. Technical deletion markers have no automatic expiry in the reviewed implementation. Import libraries may also create temporary files. Disabling iCloud, offloading the app or uninstalling it alone does not confirm complete deletion of all local and cloud data. Contact support for a complete deletion enquiry, without sending contracts or passwords.
How do I make a privacy or deletion request?
Email support.m.andersen@icloud.com. State the action requested and whether it concerns support messages or DueWink data. Do not initially send complete contracts, passwords or identity document copies. We assess scope, entitlement and the access methods actually available. We respond without undue delay, normally within one month; a legally permitted extension is explained within the first month. A request alone does not confirm complete deletion. The privacy notice explains limits concerning temporary files, safety copies and cloud deletion markers.
